You can identify iwi who have approached a local authority or Te Kāhui Māngai and advised that they have an interest in that local authority district by clicking on the relevant local authority. The number in brackets indicates the number of iwi within a particular local authority district.
Groups that represent hapū for the purposes of the Resource Management Act 1991 can be found on the Representative Organisation page of the Iwi to which the relevant hapū are affiliated.
Please note that each local authority page may not include all groups representing hapū for the purposes of the Resource Management Act 1991. It is at the discretion of groups representing hapū as to whether they provide contact information for this site.
Persons who are actively involved in any resource consent issue within the boundaries of a local authority should also check with that local authority to ensure that all groups that represent hapū for the purposes of the Resource Management Act can be included in any necessary consultation.
